50 Years after the first alien, the planet in Alien LV426 has been colonized, some years later, contact has been lost with the colony and the marines are sent in to investigate.
Some people prefer Aliens to Alien and I can understand why, while Alien is slow paced, this film is very different. Alien maybe my favorite but Aliens is arguably a scarier film, the atmosphere it creates is some of the best, combine that with the intensity of the well written and executed scenes and it creates one of the scariest films ever made.
The cast is also great in this film, Aliens is full of memorable characters and dialog, the acting is great, good character development, you actually care about what happens to the characters. The cast alone makes this an entertaining movie, then include the tension, atmosphere and the Aliens themselves makes this one very complete movie.
The visuals still look good to this day, the action scenes are well executed and memorable, the scenes with the marines using the motion trackers are some of my favorite ever tension building movie moments.
The first time I watched Aliens it was an incredibly intense and scary experience which has never been matched. The fear factor is lost after watching it a few times, however I still find it enjoyable to watch.
